Privacy Notice

Last Updated: 19 June 2026

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We have designed our website to collect the absolute minimum amount of data required to provide you with a helpful, interactive experience.

1. Data Collection & Analytics

  • Public Visitors: We do not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII) from general visitors.
  • Analytics: We use Independent Analytics to understand how our site is used. This tool is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not communicate with external servers, and does not store PII. IP addresses are encrypted into unique daily identifiers and are never stored in plain text. This ensures we can analyse site trends while protecting your privacy.
  • Registered Users: We only collect personal data (such as usernames and email addresses) for site administrators and contributors. This data is used solely for site management and security.

2. AI Chatbot

We provide an AI-powered chatbot to assist with your experience.

  • Privacy by Design: Our chatbot does not save your conversation history on our servers.
  • Transient Memory: The chatbot uses your browser’s temporary memory to manage your conversation. This memory is isolated to your specific browser session.
  • Independence: Each time you open our website in a new, separate browser window, your conversation starts fresh. We do not track you across different windows or return visits.
  • AI Training: We have configured our chatbot to ensure that your inputs are not used to train or improve any third-party AI models.
  • Important: Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or private contact details) in the chat. If you need to discuss private matters, please use our [Contact Us] page instead.
  • Third-Party AI Processing: To provide our AI-powered chatbot functionality, we use a third-party AI service provider (Anthropic). When you interact with the chatbot, your message is sent to their systems via an encrypted connection for the sole purpose of generating a response. This provider processes your data in accordance with our instructions and strictly for the purpose of providing this service. They are prohibited from using your inputs to train or improve their AI models.

3. Cookies

We use only one “strictly necessary” cookie:

  • wpEmojiSettingsSupports: This is essential for the technical rendering of emojis on our site. It does not track you or collect any personal data. No consent is required for this essential function.

4. Data Processors & Security

We engage selected third-party service providers (Data Processors) to assist us in operating our website. These include our web hosting provider and AI technology partner. These providers are carefully selected to ensure they meet high standards of data protection and security. They process data only under our strict instructions and are not permitted to use your personal information for their own purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we do not collect PII from public visitors, these rights primarily apply to our registered administrators and contributors.

6. Contact
